What's the difference between shuttering and centering plates?
They're very similar steel plates. 'Centering' usually refers to slab and beam bottoms supported on props, and 'shuttering' covers walls, columns and sides as well. Many sites use the same plates for both.
What supports the centering plates?
The plates sit on runners or acro spans, which rest on props or cuplock with U-jacks. The spacing depends on slab thickness. See our prop spacing guide.
